FIXTURES : Saturday 27th February

Well what a disaster that was.  A tiny drop of snow during the night and the whole thing gets cancelled.  Sorry to all the players that turned up at VHWFD only to be sent home again because of a few flakes of snow.  At least the early start means that you got to enjoy an extra long snowy, rainy, windy February Saturday!?

Miracles do happen!

Thought you might like to know of a miracle that took place at the Jack Kane a couple of weeks ago.  Some of you will know that Sciennes P4 FC are very fortunate to have an official photographer.  I think we all saw his excellent handiwork at Christmas?  Anyway, he was doing his usual spot of pointing and clicking a couple of weeks back during our training session.  Then he sat down, relaxed and watched the rest of the session before driving home.

Minus his camera.

A miracle - our official photographer got his camera back!  The explanation for why an expensive digital SLR camera was returned to its owner is rather mundane - Keith spotted it among the post training debris and filed it away with the cones, bibs and empty water bottles but that didn't prevent a heart stopping dash across Edinburgh to attempt camera retrieval from JK!

When his heart stops thumping our photographer promises some exciting indoor training pics.  Hint, hint...

;o)

Saturday 27th February

We have been invited to play in a little tournament on 27th February.  We have been fortunate enough to be allowed to enter two teams but need to confirm that we have sufficient numbers to proceed.

We will have to leave Victor Hugo's deli at 8:30am, returning around 11:00am.  If you can play please mail, message, call Neil to confirm.  We will pick teams once we know who is available.

Those not involved will have training, probably at the Jack Kane at 11am.  This too will be confirmed a little nearer the time.

Saturday 20th February

Return of the mud!

I know it is half term but we thought that we could have a little look at the mud in the Meadows this Saturday (20th).  So, anyone keen enough will find at least some of the coaches in our usual spot at 9:30am.  Should be done and dusted by 10:30am so you have the rest of the day to get clean.

Hope to see as many there as possible.  Neil will be missing because he doesn't like mud.
